Artist's Description
I painted "Tuscan Textures" from an inspiration of plein air painting in Tuscany. I was attracted to the lone hilltop tree and the Cyprus trees lined up. I used a new watercolor technique that leaves behind texture and fresh transparent colors, similar to a stained glass effect.
About Mary Giacomini
I love the outdoors, hiking and finding peaceful places. My artwork is inspired by places I've been to and would like to return. I enjoy getting "lost" when creating my art and recreating a scene I'd rather be in. I've been a professional artist for over 25 years but have been an artist my entire life. I've always loved to create. I earned a BFA in studio arts, have taken numerous classes & workshops over the years and have a wonderful support system of artist friends. Since I live in Colorado, many of my paintings reflect this area. I enjoy working in oil, pastel and watercolor.

Thanks Andy, I appreciate that. Any excuse to keep looking at those Tuscan hills...

I love this stylish rendition of the famous Tuscan hills, particularly the way you've captured the changing light and colours in the hills themselves
