Aww; thanks so much! I had a grand time painting this rocky cliff on Deception Island on the coast of Washington. The water was so brilliant.

Artist's Description

I had fun plein air painting with a pallet knife this past summer at Deception Pass, Rosario Beach, Washington. There were paintings in every direction but I was drawn to this solitary tree on a rocky perch.

About Mary Giacomini

Mary Giacomini

I love the outdoors, hiking and finding peaceful places. My artwork is inspired by places I've been to and would like to return. I enjoy getting "lost" when creating my art and recreating a scene I'd rather be in. I've been a professional artist for over 25 years but have been an artist my entire life. I've always loved to create. I earned a BFA in studio arts, have taken numerous classes & workshops over the years and have a wonderful support system of artist friends. Since I live in Colorado, many of my paintings reflect this area. I enjoy working in oil, pastel and watercolor.
