Artist's Description
This is one of my favorite Autumn hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado). I've painted many similar scenes from this hike, but this is my favorite. My goal was to capture the freshness of an Fall day hiking through an Aspen forest.
About Mary Giacomini
I love the outdoors, hiking and finding peaceful places. My artwork is inspired by places I've been to and would like to return. I enjoy getting "lost" when creating my art and recreating a scene I'd rather be in. I've been a professional artist for over 25 years but have been an artist my entire life. I've always loved to create. I earned a BFA in studio arts, have taken numerous classes & workshops over the years and have a wonderful support system of artist friends. Since I live in Colorado, many of my paintings reflect this area. I enjoy working in oil, pastel and watercolor.
