Artist's Description
This painting made it into the 2004 Arts for the Parks mini 50 show in Jackson, Wyoming. The inspiration came from a hike through the Redwood forests of Northern California. I yearn to see these ancient trees again.
About Mary Giacomini
I love the outdoors, hiking and finding peaceful places. My artwork is inspired by places I've been to and would like to return. I enjoy getting "lost" when creating my art and recreating a scene I'd rather be in. I've been a professional artist for over 25 years but have been an artist my entire life. I've always loved to create. I earned a BFA in studio arts, have taken numerous classes & workshops over the years and have a wonderful support system of artist friends. Since I live in Colorado, many of my paintings reflect this area. I enjoy working in oil, pastel and watercolor.
