Description
While plein air painting in Italy last September I was drawn to the laundry hung out to dry on the 800 year old convent walls. A woman sat & watched me for awhile so I decided to include her in the painting. I'm sure she was appalled that I would paint her laundry.

Your excellence in your submission of this work is worthy of special recognition, and I am seeing to it, that this happens in the WFS group. I am so happy to have you as an active member of our family of friends and fine artists, who support one another by comments, likes, faves, sharing, etc. Thanks for all your efforts to make our group so special by having a fine artist like yourself among many other fine artists that make our group so special.

Not sure; just loved the fact that they use wind & sun to dry their laundry-and no HOA's to tell them otherwise :)

It serves her right, Maria, winding up in your painting (which ironically balances the left-side laundry of the composition). Speaking of which, is that an Italian political statement--to hang men's trousers upside-down--I remember them doing that to the bodies of Mussolini & his mistress...
